It's very obvious that merchers are having some fun and that's okay.
I do think that most of us were/are aware of the rarity so I don't think it plays a big factor. I think some merchers have realised that they could hoard most pieces so they went for it.
@Don Corleown
Druidic was actually not "Less rarer" than 2a (back in 2010) - Doing clues back then was a lot harder than now, and you could not stack them.
The reason why it reached 15b+ top/skirt was because of gamblers and because of the very low volume. That's why it rose from 1b t+s to 15b+.
Also something very interesting: Even 3rd age druidic on OSRS is rarer than 2a pieces on RS3, since I have estimated that there's only around 40-50 pieces of each
How many master clues did you calculate to have been completed on osrs?
"It all starts with Mod Lotties pet count twitter post from May 2018, back then there was approximately 739 bloodhounds in game (drop rate being 1/1000 meaning 739,000 masters had been completed).
The bloodhound was released on 6th July 2016, there were 695 days between bloodhound release and mod Lotties post. 739,000 master clues completed over 695 days is 1063 masters completed a day.
The druidic pieces were released on 11th April 2019 / 695 days ago, 1063 masters completed daily over 695 days is 738,785 masters completed. Each master clue having an average of 6 rolls means there have been 4,432,710 rolls on the master table since Druidic was released.
Druidic being 1/313,168 rolls for a specific piece means 14.15 should've been rewarded from clues. While doing masters you have a 1/15 chance to receive a mimic. 738,785 clues completed = 49,252 mimics and mimics have a 1/5244 chance to drop a specific piece of druidic meaning 9.39 pieces of specific pieces have been dropped by mimics.
This brings our total number of a specific druidic pieces to 23.5!"
This was some numbers my friend did, it's obviously not fully accurate. I would double the numbers to get some more accurate results.
An inspiration to many, with a heart of gold. Be kind today, tomorrow and everyday!

I did a quick calculation from the osrs high scores, approximately 3.8 million master clues completed since introduction of hiscores in jan 2016, which puts it at around 2.5k clues per day.
2.5k*695 = 1.75m / 52000 (drop rate per clue) = 33 of each item
So yeh, youre probably right about it being rarer.
I'm not sure how mimic kills work there though, osrs wiki says odds from mimic are 5k/1? Maybe an osrs player can shed some light
