It is really fun... and that's another reason why we want to do RS3 quests, especially some of the most recent ones.

We knew Guthix has hidden untold historical stories in his memories. Now that seemingly he has revelations hidden in other form of new language. ;)

I agree. I had fun solving this puzzle this afternoon. I hadn't done a cryptoquip in ages!

I got the first two words simply by looking at the pattern of the symbols. These letters helped me solve a couple more words, which in turn helped me figure out the rest of the message.

I considered posting the solution behind a spoiler - but that might ruin the fun.

For anyone who might be struggling to decode the message, here is a hint:

By 'socials' they mean social media, so either the RuneScape Twitter account, or presumably Reddit.

Jagex revealed answer to Puzzle 1:

"There are only two things in life - Death and Tax" - Benjamin Franklin.

So we are going to have Death Costs rework and also Combat Event next month.

Max death reclaim cost seems to be capped at only a little over 2 mil gp. Pvmers rejoice. Bosses and mobs will be crying a river.

It is quit easy to know where Phase 2 points to. Hint hint.... the lava...

It doesn't reveal much though. However, that location is in the proximity of some underground facilities with some mobs and boss. My guess at this point I think the update is some new content in lieu of some old one which has been made obsolete with the Legacy of Zamorak.
