If we really are getting another skill in March 2024 just like how archaeology was in March 2020, four years after invention can we pleeeease get an 6 month amnesty period this time so players can keep their max cape for 6 months after the new skill comes out in 2024?

And can you make the new skill released in 2024 not yet another buyable that players with 500b+ banks can just buyout all the tradeable resources like chronotes and materials?

And also make sure porters can't be used for it either, filling inventory space should not be a mechanic that is ignored by the wealthy.

This time around, also properly balance the new skill perks in PVP instead of letting players who are high archaeology level get OP relics in PVP. Thanks.

I think 6 months is unnecessary, and would go for 1 maybe 2 months. But at the same time a section of the community would argue that if you’re not maxed why should you still be allowed to wear the cape/s.

Part of the excitement of new content is the opportunity to profit from it. If rich people want to buy materials etc just to burn through the levels I say let them. It gives someone else the opportunity to make a bit of GP. Although they should do everything in their power to combat bots/alt farms prior to and during release.

Porters aren’t that expensive, and are a nice quality of life addition that shouldn’t be locked just because a skill is new.
Check out Thieves guild layout redesign. Happy ‘scaping

If anything archaeology should not have been designed by making porters mandatory.

some places have the deposit, MANY of them are utterly unplayable if not using porters, are you really gonna bank every 26-27 materials gathered?

thats slower than rc by running to altars

New skill idea. name the skill Real Life.

all you have to do to train this skill is go outside and touch grass and stay logged off the game and also hit the gym at least 5 days out of the week and also change your diets. then once your 120 real life you can log back on and realise it's a waste of time raging about a bunch of pixels.

Don't see how the next new skill will be "buyable" given Archaeology is not buyable. Nobody can buy buy mysteries and researches completion among a lot of things. Of course, we have to dig, dig, dig just like mining (which is not buyable) to get lots and lots and lots of damaged artefacts in Archaeology too.

Besides, nobody said the next skill will in in 2024. It can be in 2023 as the gaps between new skills historically were typically 3 years.

^Yet you can buy the materials need to restore things which is how you get most of your xp.

Thus its a "buyable".

You can't buy damaged artefacts. So you still need to spend a lot of time to dig them up.

I leveled Archaeology all the way to 120 without buying a single piece of materials and I actually have a lot spare materials to sell now.
