I'm actually very excited for this.
I enjoyed Yak Trak, and I am finding out that Hero Pass is an upgrade over Yak Trak by being easier, more cosmetics, buffs, and other rewards.
I think the people complaining are those who aren't premier members already (why aren't you one already?) or people who just want attention
I'm a premier member but i hate it. Should never add huge gameplay changing rewards like clue skips into the hero pass.
Other problem is more thought went into the Hero pass, than they put into the balancing of necromancy combat. Necromancy is so Overpowered with so little effort needed.
It will be the first time i'm not partaking in this MTX stuff and instead moving onto Old school RuneScape to get away from it all.
I will have to see just how this Hero Pass deal will work before I can offer an opinion on it.
I have mixed feelings about Daily Challenges being retired. Sure, some tasks got to be terribly dull and repetitive, plus they often did not fit in well with my plans for the day. On the other hand, the chunks of XP have been nice, and skip tokens have been great for auto-completing the really miserable tasks, like the Dungeoneering ones.
I am happy to know Yak Tracks will not be back. I will not miss them even a little bit.
I've been putting out fire with gasoline!
In addition to the obvious cosmetic galore and customizable buff rewards, I am also very happy that we are no longer compelled to always log in daily to make sure we obtain all daily and weekly rewards. The new Hero Pass gives us a leeway to not log in daily and can make up with Hero Points obtained later to get all the rewards. The Daily Mission reward lamps are prismatic regardless what skill the assigned Mission is, so it is very flexible to pick xp buff on any skill of our likings instead of just a RNG generated skill.
This hero pass seems like a middle finger to all of us with 200m all skills.
- No more money rewards, only xp and cosmetics...
- Random skills, so might have to do a really slow skill that you hate and you don't even get any xp on it

Yeah, I think they are going to balance the other skills, but nothing soon...just know it's coming.
To each their own. I don't mind the clue scroll skips personally.

I will be a happy collector of cosmetics when they come, although I don't feel "excited" playing video games like I was a kid quite a while ago.
Same! Well, maybe "excited" is an overstatement because yes adults don't usually get too excited about things.
Either way, I think I just set myself on the side of support for the Hero Pass while a lot of redditor's/twitch viewers were outraged about it, so that is adding to the excitement because I want the Hero Pass to speak its worth, and show the naysayers otherwise.
Yay for Premier members, but, as no one has mentioned it yet, is there anything for us Grandfathers / Mothers? Or do we now only count as free members? (We aren't free, we do pay, just, not as much a some of you do now)
Or am I just a tight old noob who should just go back to my rock where I sleep?
