GE tax be like:
"I heard you wanted to save a few mill gp in death costs so we're going to charge you a few bill in GE tax costs over your RS career instead"

A few billion in GE tax is likely lower than death tax some pvmers pay over their RS career as each death cost them millions or over 10 millions and it is fair to say many of the best pvmers do die quite often. It is actually the likes of pvmers such as TheRSGuy who asked for lower death cost in exchange for other form of tax. Just do the math, if they save just 10 mil gp from death cost a day, in a year they already save over 3.6 bil gp already.

This tax is concerning because phats sold in ge could legit be taxed for billions and that's not acceptable. There needs to be a special custom maximum tax for phats and certain high value items where a 2% tax would be quite detrimental. It definitely is lazy and I don't see the new skill being another meta game changer that sunk tons of gp.

The GE tax will hit people harder, like me, who don't boss. Why? Because we don't die often and the reduced death costs won't be helpful. It may amaze some people but not everyone likes bossing and its not necessarily because of the gp cost of reclaiming your items. For example combat is not enjoyable for me. I have tried some of the lower level bossing with friends but its not my idea of fun.

All of this applies to me, too.

For every 50 hours of money making you do, no matter if its bossing or skilling where you end up selling the items, you now lose 1 hour of that profit to the new 2% tax. Its a drop in the bucket honestly.. Stop being so dramatic over your video game money people :P

If someone wants to sell their rare through the G/E for cheap, that's on them. It's their money to lose. Most will go p2p (person to person) anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Half the rare's on this game are manipulated to heck anyway, nobody is going to 'lose' what wasn't theirs to begin with, in this scenario. Would I sell my Santa on the G/E for 3.5b and lose 70m? (for convenience) maybe! people are profiting 50-100m trading rare's in W2 as is.

Just do the math and price your item +2% problem solved, its not like we don't have options.
