Many of you haven't thought this thru.
Jagex is a business they have to make money to stay in business. This is a simple fact of life and you would have nothing to talk about if they fold and RS dies. And you wouldn't be playing the game.
So get over yourself and be fair and realistic in that Jagex has to make money.
The question is how they can do that fairly and in a way to keep RS alive.
They've already tried "micro" transactions in War of Legends that weren't so micro and you basically "had" to pay for you to seriously play the game and it killed the entire game.
Is that what you want? Jagex to make money by "forcing" you to buy things with IRL money (bonds are IRL money someone else paid btw) in RS?
Fresh Start is/was a way to provide some cool bene's to people who were willing to pay for extra membership.
The sick part is everyone who complained about this. What level someone else is, or what they have, is frankly none of your concern or business and you're a fool if you go thru life thinking that way.
I think fresh Start "was" an excellent idea. Jagex could make money without "forcing" all of us to pay for things in normal RS. Unfortunately, with all the whiners and complainers, it's been nerfed even before it starts. How likely are you to get all the 99 capes now in 4 months at 1.5x exp while still having some kind of life outside RS?
People who complained about this need to really think this through. If you keep complaning about "nice" ways Jagex tries to make money you will succeed in forcing Jagex into "not so nice" ways and you sure as hell won't like that.
