im ok with giving jagex ideas since the players apparently are much better at coming up with good ideas.

Zaros not caring about his people, sadly thats the path he is on right now.
Zaros was never mortal like the other gods and therefore has issues connecting with them.
however there is still time for him to learn even though i think that wont happen.

i still think he will come back but as to how he comes back is up to jagex, if we end up having to stop him then so be it. just let me keep worshiping him instead of having the player character completely go against him.

Zaros plans to become an elder god this we all know, and now seeing as how we "lost" our elder gods sort of he could make a decent replacement.
pssst....we know who you are. Hail Sithis!

It is more like Zaros only cares about people respecting his devine godhood and rights of tyranny. I believe the only one he cares on Gielinor is Azzanadra. Remember, before Zaros departed, the only one he cared to talk to and reason with was Azzanadra. He would take Azzanadra with him to Ereuba if he could but at this point he couldn't protect him. Zaros is not a Jealous God, he can accept other gods and supreme powers if they honor his devine rights and tyranny. This fact is well illustrated that he is willing to partner with the like-minded rulers of Ereba and even prepare to make them an offer.

Zaras was never mortal like the other gods but on the other side of the coin, mortals are never gods with devine rights like Zaros. Mortals can't pretend to be gods and stand on the same level with them.

However, there is still time for arrogant mortals pretending to be holier than thou to learn before the hungry young Elder Gods grow up shortly and devour all of them, although I don't think so. Anyway, if Zaros returned to Gielinor, more than likely the link would be Azzanadra convincing his Lord there would be still be some worthy like-minded mortals on Gielinor. By then, Zaros would burn down Lumbridge and Varrock and take Azzanadra and the remaining like-minded faithfuls to the new Promised Land,
