I know today is RuneScape's 20th Anniversary but I'm really curious to know when the 20 year will be released! The 15 year cape look's amazing so I am very excited to see what the design of the 20 year will be. Hopefully Jagex will give us a sneak peak in the day's to come!

You'll need to wait another 13 months or so I'm afraid.

Jagex did not start recording player data, such as the account creation date, until after the membership model was released. This means that any accounts created before this date will not be able to buy the 20 year cape until after February 2022.

This is true. To be specific, data was recorded from the 27th February 2002. An account's 'creation date' was recorded as the first log in after the recording process started.

I think it's likely that we'll see some more information about this towards the end of the year. For now, we will need to wait.

So is the 20 year cape going to be just cosmetic. it should actually benefit you instead of being merely Cosmetic. Is that all we get after 5 10 15 20 years l Loyalty gameplay.if that’s what we are getting I feel betrayed honestly I don’t know if anyone else feel that why but I do Been playing a long time

If a person who created an account in March 2002, played the game for a few weeks, then didn't log back in till March 2022, why should they be given an item with good stats when players who have played and paid membership consistently over the past 1-10 years have no access to it?

What you are wanting is probably more applicable to the
Crown of Loyalty
, an item which is given to players after being a member for X consecutive years. I don't think it would be wise to go ahead with this though.

The other veteran capes give stat bonuses. Why shouldn't this one as well? Someone isn't doing their research on the stats of the previous capes. BIS F2P cape.

Yes they give stats but no one uses them for their stats but for looks.

So they might as well not have any stats.

Plus no they arent the BiS even in f2p thats starfury or w/e.

So if you're going to talk about not doing research maybe you should do yours.

I thought that was a cosmetic item. Also, I didn't know it gave actual stats. Lunarfury doesn't. It is a cosmetic override so that may explain it. I guess because Starfury is a physical item and can be obtained from Diango that it has stats. If you don't have it, I still say the 15 yr cape is the next best thing.
