In all honesty, we need to wait for the official announcement and live stream, which will tell us more.

I suspect it's a limited event designed to try and get more people engaging in the game. Sort of a.. come back, set up a new account, and get some increased XP rates/shiny new cosmetics. By the way it was worded, it also sounds like those accounts can then progress into the main game having received a boost in their progression thanks to the increased XP rates. However, they have said that you can transfer the cosmetics over to your main.

Just guessing on my part, so don't take it as gospel or anything like that.

so like i stated earlier if your statements right which i wont take it literally when they quoted their so exicted in todays news feed i could be right when i stated they are only excited because they found another way to make money to put in their pockets.

^I mean isnt that what every company is out to do?

I cant think of any company that doesnt want to make money.

So i dont see how thats a bad thing when its the only way to keep companies alive.

well yeah thats true but not every company is as arrogant and says stuff like that they just get on with it without throwing it in your face saying to the world ooh look where excited because we found another way to rob your money they sound like gas electric and petrol companies if all this already leaked stuff is real.

ok so your right with the fresh start worlds which i think is outrageously ridiculous its a complete waste of time and money its like paying to try out a beta that is officially ain't coming out in future even if you can tranfer rewards to your main in the end its just pathetic.

If you think RS4 is like OSRS, then the RS3 team has already firmly said no such thing.

What Mod Keeper said of "something sort of almost RS4" is actually RS3 with a lot of upgrades, especially in the technical areas like game engine, infrastructure, platforms, visual/audio improvements like VFX etc. Mod MIC later also said they don't plan to even change the name of it. So "sort of almost RS4" will remain officially called Runescape (or RS3 for those who really care about the difference) for at least the next 2 years.

no i'm not i'm giving an example of what rs4 stands for i'm not saying it will be exactly the same as osrs at all and i havn't read that statement.

As long as you think "RS4" is a separate game from Runescape (or RS3) then it is not happening whatsoever.
