Archaeology is a gathering skill so it probably will be included, but would the restoring of artefacts be as well.

If it isn't I might be better off restoring my artefacts today while Yak Track is still active, which gives a +6% xp bonus to all of Archaeology. The entire world is bragging about cookies and Jagex doesn't even know how to use them.

No, restoration is not included.

As the news post says, the skilling week is subject to the same rules as DXP Live events. This would suggest that you'd get artefacts 50% faster from excavation, which in itself is like getting +50% XP, but just from what you excavate in that period. You will not get any additional XP from restoring these artefacts.

Don't think so. You should be doing Minigames today for more bang of the buck. Save the digging for next week. DXP Live should come up in February and there should also be no bonus xp for restoring damaged artifacts.

The only thing I could find in the newspost is this line:

As the party winds down, you'll get to relax with 50% extra XP in all gathering skills. Lovely!

I will take your word for it, but still am curious where you saw that extra detail.

I recently acquired the Fixate ability, so evened out a lot of collections. The artefacts I already have, the materials too, was just wondering if I should restore today or tomorrow. The entire world is bragging about cookies and Jagex doesn't even know how to use them.
