If you moved this thread to FGU does it mean its confirmed that we will get the walks in the oddments store?

Yes, although I have all but one, I would like to see it happen. Oddments mostly come from treasure hunter, which raises revenue for the company. Win-win and sorry but lose for those investors.

Again, chances are taken when buying one at a high gp or when holding out to make a huge profit. That is the market.

My third age wreath lost half it's value when the updated Treasure Trails came out. It didn't matter to me because it was what I was willing to spend on it, when I wanted it and I am still waiting to find one in TT.

My thoughts are it's about time. I bought plague walk token for 250m I remember the first 3 months it was out, but I'm cool with th walks being added to oddment store. In the future after the walks can finally be bought, instead of adding new walks to only th also add them to oddments store at the same time as well.

I'm still not 100% convinced that Jagex is going to follow through on this, but if they are, I'm all for it. I think it's a smart play to bring back old TH promotion items in the Oddments shop (both in terms in keeping players happy, and in terms of monetary gain, as it'll convince people to buy keys to get Oddments), and I'd like to see it become standard policy moving forward. Maybe three or six months of TH exclusivity, then off to the Oddments store to stay there forever?

I assume this also means that the outfits themselves from those promotions will be sold, too, which will be nice.

Also, in the same stream, they announced their intention to retire Hearts of Ice and replace them with Oddments, like they did with Rare Item Tokens back in January. Jagex really seems to want to make the Oddments store more important.

It will be interesting if walk tokens in oddment store incentivize selling keys as these are already tradable items. All cosmetics are currently untradable except sand cape from summer prize token. Realistically speaking I don't know if they would make more money getting people to buy bonds with rl money and buying the token or selling the animation to the oddment store.

Tfw.

O_o For the life of me I can't find where you are 'quoting' that description from.

Personally I bought the Assassin walk when it was 100m. Actually I bought two. But then I sold one when it was worth 200m, because I wanted money and I lacked foresight.

I've enjoyed the walk, but nowadays I use the Risen walk, which I like more.

I frankly despise the way the Runescape economy revolves around discontinued items. I'd be glad to see them all get nuked.

So with such info the logical result is that they really might get released, much to the joy of those who, in the current state of these tokens, will never lay their hands on them. And even adding them to the oddments store wont affect the items themselves, the actual tokens, that much. People will simply enjoy the walk animations while the tokens as items will still be ingame and used as currency to trade other rares.

If you despise that the economy revolves around discontinued items you shouldnt have bought 2 Assassin Walks in the first place then. Its basic economics, the more people buy certain items the higher the demand and rise in price. Lets not forget that these animations were also free once you completed the scratchcard. So you only missed a good merch, not the opportunity to enjoy the walk animation itself.

I both merched walks and made much from them and enjoyed them. I even want them to be in oddments store so i can use them on my other accounts. The actual items will still be in game and discontinued, should such an update take place.

This fits here too : Original message details are unavailable.

If you think it should be moved elsewhere, use Forum Help V2.

I personally dont mind this getting added to oddments as i already got it from the promo.

It is a shame though that ppl literally had to pay near billions of gp just for an walk ani.
