I'll edit this post seeing as some of the comments in here are confused onto what I mean about why we don't need a new skill in 2023.
We don't need a new skill this year because, I want to be able to grind a nice skill that isn't rushed and has a reason for its release.
Jagex please take the time with this skill and polish Necromancy up and play test the skil and release the awesome skill in 2024.

Do you realize Necromancy has been in development (read: development, not just in the design phase) for over a year already? When they announced the new skill (without revealing it is Necromancy) in August 2022, they said it was already been in development for months.
We may still be 2 months or a little more ahead of the release of Necromancy. It means by the time when we see Necromancy, RS3 has already spent over 15 months developing it. It is about the same 15 months RS3 spent on developing the XXL project now known as the Archaeology skill.
