So it looks like we're going to be getting a Green Santa Hat in Monday's Christmas Event release.

You’ll get one Christmas Present for every 200 bits of Wrapping Paper you hand over to the Petes. The Christmas Presents come in four tiers, given out randomly:

White
Blue
Purple
Gold
The higher the tier, the better the rewards you’ll get – and all Gold Christmas Presents have the chance to contain 50million GP or a Green Santa Hat! Nice!

Of course, the presents contain a festive assortment of prizes from years gone by, too. So what are you waiting for? Get into the holiday spirit and start wrapping today!


Does anybody have any further information about this, other than what was said on the newspost?

Are they going to be discontinued?

Is it going to be tradeable?

Stop releasing and re-releasing tradable rares please. You are just ruining the market. No need for this. Maybe nice for new players but those are not the onrd on who's backs runescape has been build the past 20 years.

Example: People grinded 100's of hour to get them self a zombie token. And 1 update all effort is gone.

Those are the people that have payed membership for the past years. Those are the people rage quiting now and stop paying membership

Yes you probably cant imagine that with 3m total xp since thats like 1 week from new account. We the real runescape veterans have payed for membership for the past 20 years. We are the reason this game is still alive after all this time.

Whatever makes the most profit from RuneScape, they will pursue. This is a business after all. They don’t have your best interest in mind regarding rares and loyalty anymore. Experience has been devalued. They would obviously dip their toes into this too.

It is what it is. I try not to take myself too seriously and appreciate that I’m getting a new cool cosmetic to my wardrobe.

The price of the classic rares will always remain up and beyond . This will have a great effect on merchers/alts. The rich get richer.

I think it’s great new players have a chance to win these new rares. :) ))
