Not this year but last year they said they want to have the same lore for seasonal events at fixed places. So this year Halloween will most likely be in Dragnor Manor with last year's NPCs coming back to give us new tasks and new rewards.

They probably will also bring back more of the rewards from previous years for us to buy with event currency.

Revealed in today's RS3 Livestream. It is coming out next Monday which Jmods said is a bit earlier than usual. This is probably to give players more time to spend on the Halloween event as the 4th Front of GWD3 probably will come 1 week after.

Like last year, the Halloween party will take place in Dragnor Manor with the familiar NPCs coming back. We earn tokens from miniquests and activities and buy things from Death's shop. There will be a special tab in the reward shop with Haloween rewards from previous years there. We will also get new cosmetics featuring a new pet and a new weapon override.

We are going to get last year's 3 miniquests for those who haven't done them, plus 2 new ones involving giant sea monsters and a talking sword for everybody.

We will get new event activities. One of them is a hack and slash kind of slayer and killing type, rewarding slayer and magic xp. So this year it is more than just skilling, we can have fun killing too. Another activity revealed involves, guess what? Cannoning invading Crassian mobs the tower defense style. It rewards Hunter and Fishing xp. Yes, right! Guess cannons and guns are hot lately. ;)

thanks for the info! i wonder what old rewards they'll be bringing back. i know this is a touchy thing for older players but i remember back when they had polls the poll to bring back old holiday rewards won and it never happened. i was all for it, so i'm glad to see they're finally doing that.

I hope they include the ability to get those ghost outfits again since I was not able to get all of them before. That year's Halloween event was annoying and had too much grinding for me to be able to get all of the currency to get all of the pieces for all the outfits. This is the main thing I want to be able to get during this event.

On a side note: I wish they would have announced some items during some prior events prior to or during the event so people who fully participated would have received those items instead of finding out about them years later. I fully participated in all holiday events since I started playing the game over 15 years ago, but for some reason I did not receive one of the Christmas jumpers that was given when the advent calendar box was opened on the 25th of a certain year. I know I fully participated that year, but did not realize I had not received all of my rewards until last year when I was looking at the different jumpers and noticed I didn't have it and looked at how it was obtained. There was a nifty necklace of some kind that people could make during a Hati event that I didn't know about until a couple years ago as well. Communication is a problem and making events a very long grind is annoying.

Jagex sadly didn't say much about the classic rewards that will be returning, so I guess we're just going to have to wait and see. They did apparently say something about a return of rewards from a "plants vs. Zombie" event -- I assume they're referring to Attack of the Zombie Sprouts, a TH promotion from 2016? Certainly would be thematically appropriate for a Hallowe'en event.

One thing that will not be returning -- at least, not from this event -- is the Zombie walk. Makes sense to me; odds are it'll be an Oddments store or Runecoin thing.

I don't think so. The Plants vs Zombie reference is actually a comparison of the mechanics between that game and their new cannoning Crassian mobs activity. I don't think it has anything to do with old rewards.

I'll reserve judgement for when it actually drops but frankly, I'm NOT happy with Jagex's stance on holiday events for the past few years. Very briefly, for an Easter and Christmas event, it really did look like they were going back to the way things should be but then they went back to the dreadfully boring GrindScape events with a festive skin.

Hopefully I'm wrong but given how boring and lackluster the "Easter" event was this year (it literally wasn't even an Easter event), I'm not holding my breath. ~

If you have read through the comments just on this thread, you should know you are definitely wrong to compare the Halloween event with the Easter event. It is definitely taking the same format as last year's Halloween event only with even more quests, activities and rewards.
