I am not sure if I am actively trying to get the Master Max Cape, especially if it doesn't provide better tangible benefits than the Max Cape.

All my skills are 115+ and more than half of them are 120, I certainly can get all 120's but it will take away a bit of time I usually spend on getting other achievements like boss pets, Runescores etc. Maybe I will get it more proactively when they increase the xp rate after 99, perhaps like 1.2x xp from level 99 to level 115 and 2x xp from level 115 to level 120.

Anyone know if there will be Master Expert Capes? (Combatant/Gatherer/Artisan/Support?)

Because my combat levels are severely lacking, and I do not feel like grinding them.
(For me, combat is tedious and boring. Like Woodcutting would be for anyone who likes combat. But hey; we all find enjoyment in different ways. I just happen to be in the minority.)

There are about 2300 people already with 5.6b (max) xp. This is a nice add-on to display their dedication to maxing out all skills. If anything I think they should make another cape for 200m all. Anyway, no one is forcing you to get 120 all.

After comp I'm making a plan for 120 all skills anyway and working trimmed comp into that so I can get the achievements one by one as I'm leveling each skill to 120, I have a feeling cooking will go to 120 as there's already something that requires 106 cooking, I'm also surprised they didn't throw mining and smithing to 120 when they did the rework

But either way the efffort it took to get the xp gain for 99 back when getting maxed then would probably be the same amount of effort and time getting 120s now

But the moment you add in solid actual tangible achievements like these, you encourage people that otherwise wouldn't normally be thinking about it, to go and do it. We should be encouraging play of minigames and pvp, not encouraging senseless grinding of skills. If people willingly want to dump their time into going to 120 or 200mil sure, but there should not be a cape there to encourage people to do it. They made this mistake with 99 capes, then they made it with max, then comp, and now again with a 120. It just further leads to the encouragement of "you shouldn't take your time and have fun at things, you should rush through them as fast as you can instead." They are doing the same damn thing with FSW. It's not a good direction to take.

The competitive aspect should come from things like clans competing against eachother. Encourage people working together to compete against other players. If people truly want to be solo players, then oh well, they can just miss out on rewards instead. There should be solid tangible benefits to being in clans besides a simple xp boost. Thats the direction we should be taking in this game. Group competition through things like clans. It's an mmo. Not a single player game. The point should be to work together in groups to accomplish goals and win competitions. Leader of The Enemy ||

I mean to be fair - the actual max cape when it first was released was significantly more vile than this one. I nowadays can at least potentially see to reasonably reach 120s in all skills, I wasn't able to do so with 99s back in the day. But I guess that will sort itself out eventually anyway with skill extensions or general skilling updates.

And it's not like you'll miss out on something by not having it - also massive difference compared to original max. It's more that it encourage speople who otherwise wouldn't to push towards those 120s. 99 capes did that, as did max cape. Even without real benefits to having the cape, just the cape existing does that. I mean all 99 capes did was give some stats and a cool emote. But it changed how players viewed training skills back then. Releasing this will only further change how players view training skills. Leader of The Enemy ||
