If you don't want to play the game then don't.
If you want to play it then play it.
As simple as that.

I for one will be playing RS3 and FSW

This is likely what almost every existing player in RS3 thinking about, perhaps even OP too.

Note that OP didn't seem to be doing much in RS3 since Aug 4 as shown in their Activity Log, almost 2 weeks before all of us including them even knew of Fresh Start Worlds. Their lack of activities showed they didn't want to play RS3 before the Fresh Start Worlds announcement.

It is logical when players stopped playing a game 2 weeks ago, they don't want to continue their subscription now. Since OP has been absent from the RS3 community for quite a while, his continuous absence regardless he continues to subscribe or not won't be felt by the present and future community.

I am one to be able to vouch that this is a whole new kind of *Quiting*.

Back in the day, a lot of younger players would be frustrated at some things and then do the whole *i'm quiting* skit but now we're older, and the games just not good.

*** Keep in mind, some players quit and still hop on to chat and such, there's a large difference from someone who actually plays the game, and enjoys the content than from someone who just buys bonds with GP for membership, hops on once in awhile and chats with friends, knowingly not enjoying any of the actual content Jagex releases ***

It's not out of anger, it's literally because people are not enjoying the game...... There's a very large difference from enjoying something and getting angry over it, than from not enjoying something and just walking away from it.

There are ton's of new games that are just better, and offer more content than RuneScape, RuneScape always used to have the edge of offering more content, PVM, PVP , Minigames, Clues and more..... There were very little if not any, community games that supported all these things in a world just like RuneScape had before the new company came and pretty much ignored and deleted all of it for their PVM hypescape updates.

Once again, a few years back I was all for Jagex and RuneScape, would have defended them back to back for anything but then I played the game more and understood why so many people quit and left the game..... It's literally ruined from a company who changed it to a pay to win easyscape, pvmscape rinse and repeat game, who is now even trying to encourage players to start over with new accounts for extra membership revenue.

These hype green santa hat, gold party hat events will eventually lose tide, players won't be making extra accounts to grind for stuff, covid era will slow down and RuneScapes numbers will plummet unless they take a massive turn in a different direction.

If players "quit" but they still pay Jagex it is no difference to Jagex.

If there are better games than Jagex and their gmaes aren't worth $12.5, they become free to pay and there will be a lot more MTX, perhaps new games too.

Games adapt to survive. Those can't will be monetized will disappear. Charles Darwin is always fair.

How many people already have maxed out experience in the game? It is stupid even to worry about a few boosts from a temporary setup. This reminds of when all these people who thought getting skills like Runecrafting and Agility to 99 was a great brag and game made stuff like Runespan for Runecrafting and the feathers for Agility. I could care less. You shouldn't of gotten 99s, 120s or max to brag. You did it because you loved the skill, the cape or the game. If all you cared about was a brag, you should of quit ages ago.

I would say that if a large amount of people have maxed, and a large reasoning is because of the increased amount of bonus exp that has already been released in the main game is in itself worrying, and to add more onto that we could even add that Jagex is even slightly pushing players to recreate accounts in a *race* kind of advertising lure is even more worrying.......

Honestly, I came back to RuneScape 3-4 years ago, I had high hopes and just kind of grinded my way back, all I have to say is the games a complete mess and it's very worrisome to think about the future of this game. For them to only be offering a good PVM experience and completely destroying / ignoring all the other content in the game after 10 years of EOC being released is incredibly INCREDIBLY bad, I would not put any of my faith in this company changing anything in the next 10 to come.

Players shouldn't just do things to just purely brag, but odds are they do/did enjoy the game. You shouldn't look down upon people who push the limits of others around them, including systems, it is how humanity pushes the limits of everything around us enhancing human capability's........... I think the saying, don't hate the player, hate the game works nicely in this situation. They played the game, the game changed it's rules and most likely it wasn't with good intentions for that player who beat the game.

You can only imagine the disappointment of an ORIGINAL player returning to RS3, grinding their way back for 3-4 years to only find out the company actually doesn't support any minigame / PVP content like they used to, and with that literally only supporting PVM and D&D SOLO content....... absolutely absurd, this isn't RuneScape, it's madness..........

I've seen TONS of support ingame and on the forums for minigames / PVP and I've only seen complete IGNORANCE from the Jagex team.

They always say they listen to the players, but they only listen to input that goes along with their MTX/PVM guidelines.

To be honest, they should of done more with Dungeoneering. It was actually true end game content. The weapons and armor went to 99. You needed to beat the last bosses, from the last floors to get the best level 99 armor and weapons. It was also pretty balanced. The best part was you had to earn your way to the end. It was not about buying accomplishments. Well, until free trade happened. When people started to buy leaches.

I'm upset that Jagex wants only people who want to, and are willing to, pay for cosmetics and faster leveling to pay for the game SO I QUIT!

I really want them to force me to pay for the game by being required to buy things to play in regular RS!

Get over yourself.

If you don't like it when Jagex does fairly "nice" things like Fresh Start to stay in business how do you think you'll like it when they have to start making you pay for things in game to stay open?

Oh look there's a really nice set of wands/orbs and armor unlocked by that quest! I wish I didn't have to pay $100 to do it (deliberate over the top sarcasm but it makes the point even if it's just $5 per quest).
