Dragonlike beings and necromancy you say...

If we wanna play it safe and stay on the rails, we can definitely make some speculations that those ruins Zemouregal was trying to force his way into (or seal up, I have no idea what he was doing) belonged to Teraket or Kranon (now the Ambassador.)

However, someone proposed a pretty interesting comment in that Twitter post you shared Dilbert, and it got me thinking about the time the two RuneScapes exchanged new bosses about two years ago. Old School got Nex, and RuneScape 3 introduced TzKal-Zuk as the fourth opposing general of the Elder God Wars Dungeon.

There's a pretty well known boss monster in Old School RuneScape that is the creation of a Dragonkin (a being we know affectionately as a Dragon) and has the unique characteristic of being zombified. On top of that, this monster also summons minions during its boss fight that are known as "Zombified Spawn", which would also make -it- a Necromancer in its own right!

Is It possible.....that another cultural boss exchange between the two games is in the pipeline, and RS3 may be introduced to Vorkath?

Jagex did a sneak peek and showed us "more conspiracies below" with clear hints on Dragonkin. They didn't remotely show us anything these conspiracies below have anything to do with Zemouregal whatsoever though. Zemouregal also told us his job to put up a distraction is done,

Xau-Tak is linked to the ancient Dragonkin. We knew it from Taraket and Amby in ED3.

The Unwelcome Guests quest sets us up to continue from that story again. Story has it the young Dragonkin Kranon left his village in search of supreme beings who are at least as powerful as the Elder Gods, after hearing an ancient lore of two pre-historic Dragonkin adventured into the Kingdom of Shadow. One returned as a Dragonkin legend after picking up a glistering gem, while the one who picked a black stone is unheard of....

Did the unhearlded Dragonkin turn into Xau-Tak with the Black Stone later?

We should be hearing more from Taraket and Kranon, The Ambassador. We probably will be told the Black Stone is more powerful than even the Stone of Jas, and Necromancy granted through the Black Stone lifted the curse of even the Stone of Jas, one of the most powerful Elder Artifacts. It will pretty much assert Xau-Tak is, at least if not more, powerful than the Elder Gods.

"I remember my grandmother. She sat me down and she told me the story. It goes something like this. Sethirak and Vokun had left their village to seek adventure. Along the journey they encountered an old dragonkin who told them that there was a great treasure hidden within the kingdom of Shadow, a stone that would grant them wondrous powers. So the two heroes, ready for adventure, headed into the kingdom. They crossed the normal trials, the haunted forests, the unclimbable mountains, and flew through raging storms, before finally arriving in the kingdom of Shadow. A cold and sinister place, full of strangeness and dark sorceries. They found themselves drawn to an old cathedral, crafted from the stone ages prior by a long dead people. In it they found an old man huddled in front of an altar on which sat a glistening jewel.

'Greetings, old man!' cried out Sethirak, for he was a gregarious sort and greeted each person as a friend in waiting. 'We have come to take the great gemstone, so that we might use its magic to bring wonder to our people.' But the old man said nothing. Instead he drew out his hand in which he held a dull, black pebble covered in dirt.

Sethirak ignored him and took the gemstone from the altar. It glistened and shone like the noonday sun and Sethirak felt himself overcome with joy. He returned to the people and there was much rejoicing.

I've always felt it was an odd tale.

I remember asking 'Grandma, what of Vokun?' and Grandma would just smile and say 'He had a different story.'

Xau-Tak was probably Vokun the pre-historic Dragonkin adventurer who took the black pebble, and his story will probably be revealed behind the newly surfaced upcoming conspiracies.

OK. Maybe Vokun took the black peddle and turned into Xau-Tak, or Skeletor or Mumm-ra, but
what happened to Sethirak with the glistening jewel? Did he turn into He-man or a Thundercat?

The more interesting question: Where is the Eye of Thundera glistening jewel now?
