"A very obvious form of bait is Wilderness Flash Events teleport."
I'm going to use this as a point of 'constructive' feedback. A learning point, as if I was a teacher.
NOT including this was a big mistake. Just from watching the stream when they were talking about the tables, I had to rewind it. I wouldn't go to the fort for those activities because I need to visit the locations regardless. My young apprentice Meg would be so lonely.
I rewound the tape to see if they said Wilderness Flash Events teleport. Seeing they did not, I immediately ran off to future updates to suggest it.
Why that specific thing? There is an idle period before the events where you need to travel to Edgeville, and can't really do anything else. I either farm grapes, chop random logs or do some crafting. Others seem to go straight to the event, which is very dangerous. When I go early it can spawn an army that will wipe you out in 2 hits.
That idle time is a perfect opportunity to engage with the fort, which just happens to be located along the wilderness wall, same as the 2 existing NPC's. It's just down the street. It's possible if I climbed to the top and yelled, they would hear me and come over.
The point of learning is this: did the devs consider this feature as valuable bait? Did they decide AGAINST that? Will they now write the correct answer on a chalkboard 500 times, or better yet clone the NPC's and hotfix them in place?
If it wasn't considered, do you now see the strong connection, of how it should have been a 'no-brainer?' It's fixing a minor problem in a big way and using that to strengthen new content.
Edit: maybe a TLDR question: if you made the flash events now and were considering the teleport location, would you put it at the fort?
