I think we are very likely going to have events in the Fort when the story moves forward.
We are building a Fort to combat attackers from Wildy/Daemonheim, it will only be weird if there won't be battles there.
I don't know if the battles come as Flash Events, Random ones or the Defender of Varrock variety. I am pretty sure we probably won't see them before we build up our troops and weapons first.
We know we are going to have Catapults. We know we already have forges in the Fort. We probably have to build barracks and recruit our troops first. This is probably what we see in the next batch since we have the New Foundations set in concrete estates now.
