"Posting about it on the forums achieves nothing"
That's basically saying communication is pointless and we shouldn't even try. I can't help but notice that message being spread. It's very unusual.
There is value to posting about certain issues. First off, it can avoid unnecessary bug reports. I can't be the only one who sent a bug report and then 10 minutes later went OOOPS.
What can you do? At least they know that issue can be confusing.
Or other players can verify the bug, which might not be related to something they normally do. They can also submit a bug report to give even more data to help with a fix. And to show the true scale of the problem.
Cause you know they don't believe anything any individual says.
Of course, none of this applies to harmful bugs, like anything that would actually benefit a player.
This thread topic is a matter of convenience and not balance, noticed on update day. Ain't nothing wrong with that.
