As far as I'm aware, you just have to wait for the slayer master to give you the special assignments, you don't have to turn anything on unless you've blocked special assignments. If you think you have blocked them, you can toggle them back on by talking to a slayer master.

I've had 2 from The Raptor but they seemed to be given randomly after you've completed at least 10 assignments (from any master). Your chance of getting one increases each time you complete an assignment (or reroll using slayer VIP tickets) but it decreases if you decline or cancel an assignment.

If they have no chat option for that, they're active - you only can disable them upon receiving one. Otherwise copying the other mechanics you should know about from that other thread

They've explained the mechanics of those slayer challenges, since there was a lot of wild speculation going around.

- First of all you need to do 10 tasks without skipping.
- Your chance to receive a challenge then is 1/100 and is increased by another 1/100 for every additional task you complete.
-
When you skip a task you lose all progress and need to start over.

- Doing a challenge does not reset your base chance. Seemingly it does (and to be fair it makes sense), but it was stated like this from the Mod explaining the mechanics
- You're free to use the slayer master cape or VIP tickets without negatively affecting your chances.
- If you have poisoned something in the previous task, you should hop worlds before accepting a new task, since poison ticks will abort whatever you do and will cause you to lose your challenge.

That design is incredibly demented - but yeah, it stems from 2009, what should we expect... nobody cared about those challenges after all for way over 13 years. Just do your tasks and whatever you do - do not reject or abort something. Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2
