The Maw says you need level 95 in all skills plus 115 Dungeoneering. After the update, it does not work, presumably due to not having 95 Necromancy yet. But since Necromancy is still embargoed, it would make sense for it not yet to count against the Maw.
If it is truly intentional that we now need 95 Necro to use Maw, then tell us. But I'm assuming it is unintentionally broken and would like it fixed please.

It was the same with the past "new" skills, and IMO should remain so.

Some high level content are meant for rewards of our cumulative progressive efforts in our never-ending adventures. It makes the new skill and future skills more meaningful to keep our rewards in content like the Maw.

This should be changed back, its really not fair to make all lvl 95 req after its just been 115 dung req for years. Imagine if Jag at a whim changed the lvl req for access to Prifd or the req for curses? Its the same thing woof!

I don't recall being locked out of the Maw when Archaeology came out - maybe I'm wrong. But I don't think it's unintentional or we wouldn't have gotten that message.


I don't remember being locked out when archaeology first came out either. I'm pretty sure I was always able to use it prior to having 95 archaeology.

I don't mind them locking it until I hit 95 necromancy, but consistency is key.

It was definitely not the case with Arch. Eventually necro needs to be counted but it is not consistent and totally unfair to those of us who cant start the new skill straight away. There need s to be a moratorium with a set time by which to reach 95. I have registered this as a bug (more like something that was just forgotten) but really hope this is fixed.

Agreed. This definitely wasn't the case with Archaeology, so it is some BS that it is the case now with Necromancy.

If anything, I could at least support allowing the continued use of the maw until the embargo for Necromancy is lifted. That way, if people still haven't gotten 95, then they'll at least be able to speed up the re-unlocking process via lamps and stars.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Exactly. Initially we could still get daily maw even without 95 necro now it's been given the requirement. Jagex probably saw that ppl were getting free scrimshaws and wanted to cut that out.

It's not even like this happened on release.

I was still getting daily loot from the Maw until yesterday's update.

So clearly, it's a deliberate choice on Jagex's part to suddenly slap the requirement on, and to hell with embargos.
