Then why not instead ok making them poof, just unusable till next event like the traveling artisan patches? we all know the Easter event reuses the same exact tokens every year. i have 15k artisan patches and says it will be useful in the next event. Got so many previous event tokens/oddments.

Ridiculous. I don't always participate in these events regularly, so I can recall many instances where I've cashed in tokens days after the event was over. At Spring Festival players were still running around the rock or catching that huge butterfly, collecting thousanda of tokena, right up to the moment the event ended. Me among them. And then found the shop had vanished. So much outrage in w2. Some had saved over 100k tokens.

I'm actually surprised the forums didn't blow up over this. Where have they taken their complaints?

I hear RS has a lively reddit community that may be voicing those grievances. The smaller number of active players on the forums is likely the only reason we don't have multiple threads on this.

A lot of this event was reused from the other year but I don't remember them doing this with the tokens that time. Does anyone else? How to block a forum user

Think the please commenters on the facts as they come to me as a player in New Zealand. We are in a timezone which England (Jagex) seems to totally ignore. Example April Fools - this was aparently advertised/posted on the main page. Some of us actually work for a living (which allows us to play the game as a member). Some of us work 12 hour shifts or more than one form of employment to keep our heads above the rising costs of inflation. I see Daily (even on low player total worlds - players with the title that was given out *the rock* well due to the fact that #not all of us read the front page # we here in New Zealand are overlooked because we are in an opposing timezone (at time of posting we are +12 gmt).

Can this be fixed ofc not - would Jagex bother - I myself don't think they would consider it.

Do we have an event for Anzac day - No!!! yet we have events for April fools. Seems a little on the foolish side if they wish to retain New Zealand/Australian players. Oh opps sorry we are a minority.

Exactly! That's why you should know when the lively reddit community don't voice any grievances then they have no issues. :)

I would have agreed with you in the past when they weren't clear on these things, but this time I got several warnings about them going away at the end of the event. I lost out on a bunch of stuff from past events because they weren't consistent, some you had a week after, some disappeared at the end. So yeah I know the frustration but this time they actually let you know that they would be gone at the end of the event.

I always spend all my event currencies when I am done with every event. I never have to check the deadline of using them, rely on in game messages telling me so, or worry about not being able to use them in the last minutes due to unexpected IRL events.
