Based on your "calculations", before the update you got:

4391 x 2 + 4420 = 13,202 xp per ritual

After the update, you get:

3084 x 2 + 8840 = 15,008 xp per ritual

Nope. The overall is not a 20% nerf, but a 13.7% buff.

And the more we AFK and ignore random events, the more we are benefited and getting bigger ritual xp BUFF actually now.

To everyone who is saying I didn't take into account the extra 4k xp per powerful ess ritual, it still doesn't add up to a 20% nerf.

I was at 650% soul attraction, was doing powerful ess and got 6 randoms per ritual guaranteed.

Let's say I got 100k in randoms xp before, now I am getting 28.6% less which means I will get 71,400 xp for the randoms in that ritual. So instead of getting 100K I will now get 71,400 + 4420 = 75,820 xp or a 24.2% nerf.

At 120k xp from randoms, now we will get 85,680 + 4420 = 90100, which is a 25% nerf.

This is not the 20% they stated.

So it takes you a day to get to 200 mil Necromancy? OK, I will check back tomorrow and see if you are anywhere close to 200 mil xp. :)

Being over 500% soul attraction guarantees you get 6 randoms. This is from wiki:

With a soul attraction of at least 501%, a disturbance is guaranteed at every opportunity. It has been reported that a higher soul attraction level impacts the likelihood of higher level ritual disturbances, in which case it would still be worthwhile to raise soul attraction beyond 501%.

So you are guaranteed over 5 mil xp/hr from rituals? If so then ritual xp definitely should be nerfed more when it takes a day to 2 of acutal playing time to get 200 mil xp. This is not what the other players, especially the content creators who have made guides and the ones who won the race to level 120 Necromancy showed us. Officially, Jagex told us it took over 200 hours for the first person to level 120 Necromancy.

Dilbert you have 242k necro xp and you're level 58 so of course you won't get 6 randoms per ritual. They've said rates are nerfed for level 60 and above.

I didn't get 6 guaranteed randoms until I was level 91 and potted to level 107 to get soul attraction up to 550%.

My main point is they stated a 20% nerf when in fact it is 25%. If they had said they decided to nerf xp by 25% I would not have posted,because their statement would have been accurate.

I agree with your comment above and was disappointed to see people maxing the skill in days. Why did they wait for a month to change it? And more importantly why didn't they realize people would get xp that fast, they should've had QA testing rates.
