Jagex had stated that we could get up to 41 talent points as they might be needed in the future. Hope that is not needed now as no one at 200mil xp wants to replay that

They said already earned talent points are not lost - question of course would be if you would right now be able to 'unlock' further talent points - and just not seeing them. Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2

I don't understand why Jagex felt the talent points above 18 shouldn't be displayed.

I mean something like (some number higher than 18) out of 18 looks extremely unclean. They are not needed for now and may or may not be needed in the future (albeit I would expect them to extend the system at least once, I kinda doubt though we'll eventually come to use 41 points though in the end.).

No matter what, they should allow you to gain points, in case they may be needed, but other than that the information you're capped out right now just looks way more clean. Information is - you're done for now. Hopefully without screwing non-capped players over with an extension. Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2

Whenever i used to show all game messages, it would tell me every time I had gained experience in necromancy and thus was a step closer to a talent point.
These messages have now gone, so I assume we can no longer attain anymore than we had just before the change.
Ergo, no point spending anymore time with Necro for the purposes of trying to get 41 points.
