Since it's not Clue, there is little to say about the actual content. It's not Clue, there ya go.
It's more about presentation, what we are doing, and what our role is. The main thing is I got lost in this world, which is something that rarely happens. They didn't send me running off to the guide, until a certain point. But it was only because I had hit my limit mentally. Information overload, I did not process the clue I was told. Specifically it was the item which appeared in the dining room later.
I wish I didn't tune in to the related stream because they showed the characters arriving. I get their point, but that is putting too much in the 'trailer.'
I also wish I had suffered through the remaining 12 minutes of the rooftop slap fight, because I would have lost. I mistakenly thought I would come back to life, but that is tied to my max cape. Oops. Allegedly we are saved upon failure, and if that is part of the story I was cheated, tricked, bamboozled, etc.
They knew I would be unarmed, it was a trap. The dude should have just KO'd me. All hope is lost. And then you get saved.
Having a dog as a character is more natural than one might think. People assume dogs just lie around, but I know a dog who claims to own a billion acre farm which is immediately ruined at the slightest hint of foul weather. It's a big deal, he assists the fire department in sounding the alarm, he shows them which direction to go when they approach. He entertains the school busses with his patented triple Superman leap. A pillar of the community.
IMO the characters were great, and I would like to see the new ones again. As those characters. Characters have a certain trait that we anticipate. If you pay to see Ric Flair and he doesn't go WHOOO you are looking for a refund at the ticket office.
The act of linking the clues was cool. I was afraid I might anger someone so I tried it on Princess first.
Tier 1 building with the others being a reward was nicely done.
