so now with new ge tax obviously we are taxed on our items selling in ge

this is what sale history looks like.

its showing mage log sold for 550gp. which yes is correct but this is before the tax.

can we have both showing in sale history?

so having it showing 550gp. and also 539gp (tax)

having both would be much nicer.

oh and also show how much tax we paid total would be interesting

Inb4 a certain someone comments "just do the math yourself" lol, but yeah.

I think it'd be good to have a counter for how much tax you've paid, and maybe even a title for it. Put a spin on 'maxed' title, have one that says 'taxed' if you've contributed max-cash?

Knowing RS, I bet people would compete in quick-chat (for who has been taxed the most) :P

I'd appreciate explicit transparency of the tax, as you've suggested, Tenebri. I'm not as interested in the global level, like Miles, though.

I am not fully sure how OS is displaying its log, but it certainly does a better job at showing the effect on the transaction itself.

I can follow the logic of how it's done in here though - while trading the net value obviously is more interesting for me, so I can see what I am actually receiving for the total transaction in the end - since it's not just taxed, it also could sell higher than my demanded (or the GE one) value and contain multiple units. In the log the gross value is more interesting, so I can see for how much I can sell a singular item for , since this will serve as the base to determine my price for further transactions. If it already shows the taxed value, I'll have to assume it as the base for that.

It probably would help if the effect of the tax was shown in a mouse over tooltip I guess...
