Tried to log in today...as I have done for many years...and the Jagex Launcher declared an error. Tried again later, same result. Downloaded the launcher again..."Repair Failed". Rinse, repeat and same result. Next step is to remove and reinstall the game. Were we recently gifted with a game update?

When you got to choose your character, you have already logged into the Launcher. That's the problem OP had, and seemingly from his activity log that they were playing yesterday, was resolved.

You don't seem to have a login issue. Just resize or minimize/maximaze your Jagex Launcher windows may fix many graphics issues.
