I think there may have been a few bugs with the latest update, specifically around Farming. I noticed that the herb patch in Catherby and the cactus patch in Menaphos were empty the first time I logged in after the update. It's possible that I forgot to replant seeds, but I usually don't overlook things like that.

I haven't retrieved compost since the update, but I remember getting at least several xp per bucket of supercompost without boosts, so that does sound like a change. Whether it's intentional I'm not sure.

I wonder if that's what happened to dead plants. Since plants can't die anymore they might have just removed all that code from the game and wiped the patch.

Is there no way to take the compost out as notes now??

I don't think so as there was no way to get noted compost out of the bin before so why should there be one now?

There is a "Buckets All the Way Down" perk. Unlocking it will make no buckets requires to take compost out. I am not sure if we can take them out as a note though. Maybe somebody who has a lot of tokens can try? Not me at this point though.

I hadn't considered that, but I think that's a reasonable hypothesis. Neither the herb nor the cactus patch had been protected before the update.
