there should be no demons for people to attack.

...it is fine just to mine the Star to get rewards for the 1st phase.

the demon slayer perk and sigil icons are clearly visible in pyrefiend debuff box because they are demons. if those demons are overlooked, then yes there are still ashlords and berserkers that can spawn before, during, and after the star crashing.

I can't think of any player who would be happy to leave with the regular wild sack from phase one, and be denied chance at a TWO BILLION dollar dark onyx core turned into a facet with a snotty message about not contributing enough damage during the second phase of the event.

edit/add: so do leave the second post worth of testimony alone. they are not wrong by any metric. I understand how they feel.

I am not sure if pyrefiend are demons. At least RS Wiki states they are "Fiend".

https://runescape.wiki/w/Pyrefiend

If the person I replied to actually saw pyrefiends and meant to say he saw players fighting pyrefiends then he was just too late and missed phase 1. His fraud all the way.

yeah the demon slayer perk and sigil require investment, so minmaxers wouldn't have it, and might spread the lie that fiends aren't even demons to defend their constant welfaring. not only are pyrefiends demons, but so too are the waterfiends and cerberus present in ed4, also part of the legacy of zamorak releases, so even more investment in jas demonbane arrows help rangers who want to run as glass cannons do lots of nice damage.

friends don't let friends do poor dps. especially now that those same friends are challenged with dps checkpoints to collect event rewards. you can't make friends by telling lies, mocking dps, or marginalizing feelings of discontent either. its an mmo with lots of group content. you should try playing it with friends you have made someday.

The berserker aura works in wildy, and Maniacal/Reckless do not
I have quit rsof because moderator found comments about darklight bonus damage on demons "off topic" for wildy flash mobs full of demons

We have to wait for the person who I replied to tell us what demon they actually saw.

Again, if they saw pyrefiends, then there was absolutely nothing wrong on Jagex's part. They were just late to the event and missed first part of it.

I visited a 'crashed star' event once. I saw no crashed star and no map markers.

I just stood there for a minute or two watching other people kill demons. Nothing and nobody attacked me, nor did I do any attacking (I had no equipment).

Were the demons you saw other people killing pyrefiends? If so, perhaps you were just late. Nothing was wrong with the location. Please be reminded all Wilderness Flash Events start at the top of the hour. If you are minutes late, you may miss the event or phase(s) of it (if it has multiple phases) when the players on time have completed them.

benefit of the doubt would have extended him the courtesy of being disabused your petition to confirm pyrefiends are demons.

pyrefiends, waterfiends, and cerberus are demons. theyre integral to the undercity, integral to legacy of zamorak, and even players who don't simply parrot the wiki can apply demon slayer perks to weapons or abilities with sigils and SEE the bright baby blue demon head icon, and hover over it to read IN THE GAME ITSELF that a demon slayer debuff has been applied to demon target.

anyone who has ever fought anything, or spent time away from bank counters or forums can SEE IT RIGHT INSIDE THE GAME at any time.

Is there something that's just ingrained in most Runescape players that they simply refuse to use the freaking RS Wiki? It provides all of the information necessary for each of the Wildy events, including precise locations, for at least every day since it was first added to the game.

It does everything short of physically carrying you over their shoulder and depositing you at the site for the event.

I can understand many internet users don't want to go to a text based site for info. While RS Wiki is very useful to the kinds of players who still post in forums, a lot of players go for in game guides rather.

That's why Jagex has made the map icon and in game broadcast updates on Wilderness Flash Events this week. Both RS Wiki and the in game interactive info are good.

Yes but when the game itself offers a link to that same site for more information, I really don't see why it isn't even considered by so many players. They'll try to Google for more information and immediately cry for help stating they were unable to find anything that might help. Google can only index information, pages and sites once they've been visited and categorized. The most prudent course of action really is the RS Wiki but some players just won't use it.

As for it being a text-based site that they may be wary of due to possible hacking, if only they'd be more concerned when players offer free millions of coins if only they'd register on some random site or buy gold from a nefarious seller. And if only they'd pay the tiniest bit of attention to announcements in the chat box. Even reddit had a wonderful map with the locations of all the wildy events a couple of days before the Wiki came up with their own version. It really isn't that hard to find the needed information but I suppose we're just so used to asking others or complaining instead of trying to find it out on our own, even when it's readily available.

Heck, I can literally recall when FAQs were all the rage because people kept on asking the same questions over and over without realizing how often they had already been answered, if only some attention were made to seek them out rather than ask them yet again.

Simple answer, they won't want to read text. That's why graphic novels, comics and audio books are more popular.
