I had no idea I had this many posts. Before commenting here I could only see two comments, one from 2012 and one from september 2023 that was deleted by a player mod(how typical). Anyway the fact my old posts from 2007-2009 are either gone or deleted by overzealous mods, just proves my point that these forums suck lmao

I am sure many wannabe player moderators will be sad to see all of their effort wasted.
You can find most of these users actively quoting jagex rules in the "player led account help" section

Of course most of your posts have disappeared. The fact that they have been eaten by the page 50 monster is testament to the activity these forums see.

There have been 100s of individual players who have posted here since the announcement. There have been many more that lurk on the forums who have not posted. The forums are both a tool and a community, and it will be missed no matter what your opinions on it are.

7 users? the counter doesn't work and hasn't done for years. Jagex knows it doesn't work but, the web team have not been allowed time from other projects to fix that or improve the forums (well improve anything visible at least anyway)


I don't know how many posts are made atmo and I can't find certain posts with detail from a couple of years ago. But in 2016 there were 36k+ posts a week and 2018 there were 35k+ posts a week. It's possible numbers have dropped, but I can't see them plummeting totally as a large bulk of posts comes from the OS clan recruitment which is still very active.

THIS. Not to mention security. Imagine if one of those third party sites gets compromised and people who joined them ONLY because of the forums closing get hacked or fall victim to ID theft.

Tomato, that is one of the reasons I refuse to use discord, twitter, or x, or what ever the hell it is called these days, and that cesspool known as reddit. Don't ever think the reason I am peaceful is because I do not know how to be violent.

Good news! This place was only used by manipulators, scammers, and pathetic forum mods. Glad it's one less place for the snakes in the community to congregate. The discussion here was always heavily moderated by power-hungry mods who's favoritism could get your posts removed because you called out their manipulator friends.

That's a pretty reductive view of the people who use the forums. For all that the anti forum crowd showing up lately likes to make sweeping statements about how the forums deserve to be gone, they're not very good at presenting any kind of proof to their statements. What power hungry mods? They mostly just respond to player submitted reports on rulebreaking. How to block a forum user
