If you have a problem with the current pricing you could always pay for bulk membership instead. It'll save you some money down the road.

The only positive thing I could say is instead of paying for membership, you could use in-game bonds. They cost around 15.6m and provide membership for 14 days. In my opinion, it's a burden having to farm that money twice every month but it's better than having to spend money. Depending on the individual of course. :)
