Lots and lots GP. Having lots of money helps tons right now because you can just buy materials to restore artefacts and get temporary boosts (precision and XP excavating buffs) with Chronotes. You can also buy familiars (those binding contract ones), as well as skillchins.
Porters with Grace of the elves is really nice as well. Charge that with 500 charges each time and it saves having to bank or note the items. You can't buy these, but it's worth making them if you don't have any stocked up.
The next thing is time. Those people have been sacrificing sleep and are putting in lots of hours. Some have even done 48hr no-sleep sessions. Players are simply grinding at it hard, giving it their all from the looks of things.
Most of those people are just doing the highest level spot they can, making sure they do what needs to be done in-between (logs/mysteries) to fulfil qualification requirements. .
