It's also worth keeping in mind exactly what email you're getting messages on.

I get a fair few Runescape phishing emails, and they're really obvious phishing attempts - have got them for years, and I sometimes ignore them, and sometimes send them to reportphishing depending on whether they're new to me or not. They go to an email address that is not in any way, and has never been, linked to my actual RS account (though I did use it for a RS fansite once upon a time - again, under a different name to my RS account name), therefore could never be legitimate even ignoring all the other issues (link to different place, terrible spelling, email being about things Jagex don't email about, etc).
