No, there is an embargo for six (6) months after initial release:

" NECROMANCY
Necromancy will have an embargo on Double XP and bonus XP for the first six months after its release. "

Rats, forgot about that. Kinda makes it pointless to do Necromancy at the moment - except for Slayer. It really is a pretty effective combat method for Slayer, and I presume the portion of XP that goes to Slayer will still double. I'm already 99 in my other combat skills so no loss there.

So, does anyone know if the ghosties will still give us gifts while we're doing rituals?

Slayer is what I am doing to do for Necromancy with my alt. I need to do combat for talent points at some point anyway, and the time seems to be now with DXP and slayer with Raptor.

Yes, slayer with Raptor assignments is a great way for Necromancer to stand DXP Live time. Most of the slayer mobs assigned by Ellamaria are great for Necromancy combat and plenty of slayer chain assignments we can choose the levels of mobs suitable for our xp and items needed. When my alt get Dragon assignments, I send them to ED2 for the added DG tokens drop. Not too bad.
