Turn on sounds, makes it much easier This! It really does. I didn't do so hot at first on the memory probe puzzles, but once it clicked in my brain with the audio and visual cues, it made it much easier.

Since you can't undo a wrong probe once it's placed, you can also save yourself some time by backing out and leaving the saga, and beginning again from the last checkpoint (see Wiki):

OP, what exactly is your problem and are you following guides like RS Wiki?

If so, the only issue I know of so far is the RS Wiki isn't/hasn't been updated yet, so you may want to go through the new dialogues or if you prefer, look for more recent guides:

Isn't there a visual cue as well? The orb blinks faster when you're close.

This is correct.

I did the saga with sound disabled, no problem.
