Begambleaware is there for anyone who is or knows someone suffering from gambling addiction
Today, one person will die from gambling addiction. The GE graph shows over 400b worth of Assassin walk tokens were traded today. That is worth less than your life and happiness, which is priceless.

I can see this being a huge issue if merching groups buy up the entire stock of new th tokens and don't sell for under a new price they set. I'd like to the upcoming tokens but probably won't due to this. This will be an issue for every new th token release.

Why is this a problem when they are merching purely cosmetic items not affecting any form of gameplay?

We should know 40 bil gp, and a couple hundred of merchers out of almost 350 mil Jagex accounts and millions of active players, aren't even a drop in the robust RS3 economy.

The GE counting volume for 30 hours some days, then 18 hours the next, is a bit off.

That's why for the more accurate numbers on turnovers, we look at the average over all data.

Over the 13 days Assassin Walk Tokens were traded, the total volume was 1,416. So, in the average, only about 110 tokens were traded per day. These numbers clearly showed only a tiny number of players participate in such a niche market.

Bonds are over 73M, Assassin Walk tokens have gone up to 1.2B. This is unprecedented levels of key buying. I do not blame people buying keys or assassin tokens.

The time limited promos and FOMO graph numbers have made TH items very popular. The money being thrown around is breaking new records. Luckily, it is not every week or they would become richer than rare merchants.

They are desired items for players such as myself and look at price of assassin walk, I was optimistic that I could buy mine for 350m but the street price is over 1b despite two previous rereleases. They could realistically pool together enough collective money to buy most, if not all stock of the cosmetic token then set their own price. I bet it'll rise back up to 4b yet again. Hence why it needs to be constantly rereleased until the players are comfortable selling it for a reasonable price.

So it is a personal problem to just a very number of players who think they are desired items and want to spend billions of gp on them. Vast majority of the players don't have a problem.

Even for those who want participate in trading of such "desired" items, what you call a "reasonable price" may not b reasonable to them, because reasonable price in a player driven economy is determined by the players, not Jagex.

People buying keys are now being incentivised with 1.1b soul dye on top of the 3 combat overrides already on offer from June 15-21.

Over 500 of the Combat Academy ability overrides were sold today.
And we could see 100-200 soul dyes, each worth over 1b enter the game.

TH and rares economy are enjoying circular growth. Bonds are surprisingly stable. The victim in all of this is old stakers from duel arena. As TH key gamblers, they will suffer.

You can search engine help for gambling replacement ideas. I recommend volunteering, weightlifting and walks.

Do you know how many resources like logs and chronotes are sold every day? Tens of millions of each of these over 9,000 different items. TYVM for telling us cosmetics are just nice to have items only few players with spare gp are happy to get after taking care of our necessities to progress our character and have fun in this everliving 22 year old storytelling adventure game.
