We all know now forums is now being closed, from the many threads, and obviously post on home page, ironically this is the most active the forums have been in a long time.

Im going to say this all now on the day of the announcement.

The forums have been a great place for entertainment, whether our interactions were positive or negative (you know who you are). its all been a fantastic time in my almost 20 years of posting in this forums. the experience i have had, i know i will never be able to get again, its not like reddit where any post is dead after 24 hours, or discord where the conversation has veered off into something entirely different asap. we were able to have discussions that could last weeks sometimes even years on the same thread, that is what is going now with it being closed. that is why i loved coming back here.

i started posted on the forums for discussion on a game i loved. and that has not changed in all these years. i know for many people we didnt see eye to eye, and thats great its what kept those discussions going. hopefully stayed on topic. if it did then great its what these forums are for, its to say what you thought is good for the game and the reasons why. some people took t too far and would pm me in game, some stuff not worth repeating, (but dw i have the screenshots still, that wont die with the forums), but this is just a testament to why we post here, we love this game and we want whats best for it. its those heated discussions on something so trivial that probably would never even enter the game but here we are. trying to show each one why it is good for the game or why it isnt. this is what we are going to miss now. we cant get that elsewhere.

i know im going to be rambling and have done already this is not planned post at all. either way all im saying is each and every one of you, whether you like my post style or hated that fact i just wanted to start an actual discussion with questions. we are all here for one reason.

and thats the dedication we have for this game, that is what has bought us together. and yes im sad this forums are closing, wish they werent as this place has been a place i went to for many different reasons. but its the people (the very few that are left) that have truly made it a place i wanted to keep coming back to. and yes that does include the people that i didnt see eye to eye majority of the time. because like ive said this forum is built on different opinions, it would be boring with out them.

i do hope this is correct pathway that jagex are taking. i know the majority of the community did post else where, but this was still a place many people preferred, and there are good reasons for that. its not just people like me that post almost everyday, there are constant flow of new people posting for the first time, seeking answers, not knowing there are other platforms, this was that safe place knowing "this is runescape" because it is, its literally on the site, they wont have that now. its also a great place to let off steam in the rants forum (my personal favorite place to go). if it does work out great, but i am still going to miss it, it is going to take a lot of effort to not randomly come here. im sure after it does close, i will be loading rs home page to come here. i do it almost 2nd nature now.

igoring my babbling, i just want to say goodbye to everyone now. i know many of you many many of you i still talk to outside of forums. so its not a goodbye entirely, i guess this is more a goodbye to this place. this place is a comfort to me, and that is being removed.

hopefully in the last couple of weeks of posting, we can just post nicely and have a good send off. but i see many people already bringing in toxic behavior its just not needed. come on people think before you post.

It feels wrong that they are closing the forums down. I flat out refuse to use that cesspool that is reddit, and hardly ever use facebook. Been in facebook jail several times for going off on the so called fact checkers. Don't ever think the reason I am peaceful is because I do not know how to be violent.

Goodbye Tenebri, and everyone

It's going to be hard seeing the forums close, this place holds too much history and memories to lose them so easily...it's even more painful knowing that Jagex barely bothered with them

But anyways, goodbye...
