I'll rather see what we have in Jagex's existing Runescape games on their 2024 Roadmaps ASAP as there will hardly be any real "surprises" like console release, port to new and more powerful game engine like UE5, global launch and localization to penetrate major foreign markets like the Asian, Russian and Spanish speaking communities etc next year.
We will see Jagex's early 2020s initiatives and their M&A investments in new games and new studios come into surprise fruitions after 3+ years of speak softly and carry a big stick behind the scene development. However, Rome wasn't built in a day, such imperative and dominating surprises won't happen as quick in 2024 RS3 though.
The earliest we can see RS3 on consoles etc will most probably come in 2025. We'll still be enjoying very high quality storytelling episodic expansion-like content in the Misthalin and Age of Chaos questlines as usual though. But this is perfectly fine for a forever game like RS3 built to outlast all the pretenders that may not even live to see 2025 though. I am not expecting "huggggeeee" (TM) one-off surprises that last just a few days for RS3 in 2024, just the usual expansion-like storytelling content they have been able to deliver year after year will be just fine.
