Do you think playing RS has saved you from getting in trouble in real life?

We are all the same. We are all human. We all log off on one tile and the person behind each screen has a life.

Do you remember what you were addicted to before RuneScape? For me, I was addicted to buying console games. I spoiled myself, I was addicted to pre-ordering unreleased games. It was a vicious cycle of guilt and dopamine.

I think many players actually spent more money on Runescape membership than they spent on console games, so no, Runescape didn't save these people from "addiction" at all, especially far, far more games in 2023 are totally free to play with no box fees and membership subscription. Neither do many developers charge player to pre-order unreleased games.

To curb their "addiction" on buying games or pre-ordering unrelease games, the best remedy is to play totally free to play games with no membership and box fees.

Runescape can be a great distraction for some personal troubles, but again these use it as a distraction it is not a real cure.

Most time games become a new addiction, ofc not always.

Best advice is if you have troubles get professional help, do not use the forums or any online guides.
It may help for some, but often it leads towards more other troubles!

Even if the 90% of RS3 players got their membership with the cheapest mean - Premier Club, it would be about $80 for them already. I don't think many console games cost $80.

This is not proof of how many % are paying Runescape membership vs console games.

This is how many rs player are member vs free to play.

We would like to see the evidence of the things you speak of dilbert.
admit you just made it up to have a good story is also fine ofc, but being honest about it is all that matters.

It shows many players spent money to buy RS3 membership, perhaps more than they spend on multiple console games without membership. I never wrote how many "%", I just think there are MANY players and Jagex told us they get paid for 90% of their players in RS3.

OP asked for our opinions, not to proof whatever anyway, and Jagex's number clearly told us their opinions, and fact that a lot of players spent money to buy membership in RS3, and they don't even have to care about console games, and pre-ordered unleased games they don't even have.

For me RuneScape became a 'positive addiction' I am still happy with. It gives me soo much I can't stop searching for every day of the week.
Thanks for that Jagex/JMods ... can't do without you ... RuneScape or OldSchool RuneScape.
