Controller use legal?

As the title suggests I'm trying to work out if using a controller would be against the rules or not, what I'm wanting to do if it's allowed is set up a controller for mobile that simple can click the 4 tiles in direction, change camera and move a cursor on screen? The ergonomics of using a phone long term is getting to be painful and I'm looking for a way to ease my hands despite slowing down all my actions.

I wouldn't be able to perform more than 1 click per action and I'd be using the phones inbuilt controller support. But I just can't find anything official on if it's allowed or not.

Would be nice if jagex took a stance on controllers cos both mobile and steam releases can natively support them both of which are approved ways to play Runescape.

If your device is capable to execute multiple outputs with 1 click said device is prohibited to be used.
Controllers aren't 'standard computer hardware'.
Programmable hardware is prohibited to be used.

It wouldnt work you would have to use a 3rd party app to detect it, this being a browser based mmo or live service means jagex would have to add controller support. I doubt even a 3rd party program would work. Even if it did work you would have to do so much setup just to play, like hold R2 + X to use ____ ability ect. It would be a pain. And people can buy controllers for fps that have recoil control and other macros and stuff built in so theres that, which probably means it will never happen unless RS comes to consoles.
