This thread is so full of pain and hatred it makes me physically sick to my stomach. I hope that all of swa reads what I have to say.
I'm an Obby general, relatively recently promoted, and I am proud to be one.
That being said, a lot of the reasons that swa have to hate wa or obbys are VALID. I can step back from my position and see that mistakes were made, choices that were hurtful or even abusive, by wa leaders. I personally never made any of these decisions, and the people who are hurting the most within the wa are the ones who have never done or said anything to insult or injure enemy clans.
If I could stop the cycle of hatred right here and now I would do so by any means necessary.
When I first joined obbys I was a lvl 100, and I was proud and excited to be in the clan that ensured victory every game. Sw has never been a serious game for me, and I honestly don't think it was intended to be. It is a minigame. A tiny aspect of an expansive online mmorpg. Someone had a good idea to band together with high levels and control the flow of games. I see nothing wrong with that.
As I worked hard to keep calls clean and advertise and recruit, I was thanked and recognized for my contributions. It didn't take long before Obbys were a place where I could feel happy and safe... Obbys became my family. Obbyclans for me have always been positive, encouraging and nurturing. Even when we "warred" it was always defence. During the first half of my tenure at obbys I remember feeling proud that we were the clan defending our allies, sending help and assistance... and yes, WA DID HELP SwZ. I personally lost countless games and my close friends spent millions trying to defend SWZ from SWA who was full of hate and wanted nothing but to see their destruction... then when SWZ fell they told us we didn't help? Did those countless hours of losing sw games where I did the best that I could mean nothing to my friends? Apparently.

I just got done reading a recruitment thread for a clan that called you guys "a bunch of idiots." How low and ungallant!
I have spent a lot of time playing with you and your allied clans. I have always been well treated by your people, and especially by Marc and Bruce.
You probably never noticed me in the crowd, or when I joined Marc to fight in Army of WA. It was a lot of fun and I loved it.
Honestly, I really like you guys. You came to our aid a lot in World 2, when we were pounded 24/7 by a hostile gang of bullies intent on destroying our clan.
They failed. In large part because of your support. In the end, their leader found it just too costly to occupy World 2 and fend off WA allied clans at the same time.
To save face, he informed me he was "giving" World 2 to another clan, and withdrawing from World 2. It backfired. We liked them, and had no intention of being hostile toward them.
That wasn't supposed to happen, but that's another story. I was thrilled! That made us the only clan leadership to ever push SWA out of a world. But without Obbys, it would never have happened.
They can be defeated. I realize not everyone is as mean as I am, but to win in this case, you only have to just not give up. They have been pushed back before, and can be again.
Every once in a while I see a rabble of low level players, supported by a handful of veterans rise up and whip them. What is discouraging is not that we may lose a game, but that we have to play opposite such low level lack of sportsmanship.
But I will always be here, mean as I am, to oppose them in any way possible.
