It's been a long time since I've been on this forum ... a Long long time, and I'm sure only a handful of people actually recall the player known as Leviathan.
I preferred his older posts tbh, because times have certainly changed and I'm not sure that parts of the message are entirely relevant any more.
Unfortunately the game is filled, and always has been, with people of all ages from 8-60 (60 being the oldest person I know of) and with that all levels of maturity.
Some adults, myself included, have shown that when it comes to maturity age is some times moot. Maturity changes upon the situation, because this is roleplaying the mindset of a player can and does change from the norm.
By all means you can ask players to recall that this is just a game, but to many, if not most, it is an escape which means that normal behaviours are thrown out of the window.
but then normal behaviours are found quite readily in-game, where it seems the maturity level drops even further, day in and day out it stuns me to see how much insulting and offensive behaviour goes on.

However, if the original posts make a difference to just a handful of people, then I think that should be considered sucessfully passing along the message.
I miss having Lev around, but then I haven't been around in the last couple of years either.
