The cleveland game couldve ended a lot different had the bengals given hill more carries. Dalton had a total of 33 pass attempts in a game that featured gusts of 40 mph wind. Also the majority of those attempts were deep throws down the field. When it's windy like that you really need to lean on your running game. Even if it doesn't work at first, keep trying. Maybe even try to run some traps, draws, reverses, option, etc. Another reason why I feel the Bengals havn't really been clicking, they haven't been able to lean on their defense to pick up the slack for the offense. They've been without a lot of key guys. Rey Maulaluga, Vontaze Bur*ic*, Leon Hall, Geno Atkins just came off acl surgery, Just lost michael johnson, Harrison is gone and Lamur is still adjusting to being a starter. If the bengals want to be able to win down the stretch, they need to start leaning on that running game and also get the tight ends more involved. I think the division title is going to come down to week 15 vs the browns. The Ravens are an absolute joke and the steelers luck isn't going to last much longer. The age of their defense and their injury plagued offensive line is going to give them a lot of problems over the next few weeks.
So stop blaming Dalton. It's not his fault, he isn't a 30+ attempt/game passer like Manning and Brady. Sure he can post their amount of touchdowns every once in a while, but he can't go yard for yard with them. For Dalton to succeed you have to mix in a lot more runs.
Prediction - Bengals go 10-5-1 and get the #6 wild card spot in the AFC.
