Bengals Rant
Feel like discussing the bengals issues/thursday nights game so going to rant here. Feel free to comment on this.
So a lot of people blame the bengals struggles on Andy Dalton. While some things may be his fault, a lot of things aren't his fault. The issues start with the Brown Family. The Bengals Owner, Mike Brown, makes similar decisions to the Cowboys Owner, Jerry Jones. In my opinion, the coaches of both teams are *******. They dont discipline players like they should. They aren't in your face type of coaches like Rex Ryan, Bill Bellicheck, John Fox, Mike Mccarthy, Jim Harbaugh, etc. Really, Lewis and Garrett are more fitting to be general managers than head coaches. The issue with that is both owners, Jones and Brown, are too cheap to have a gm and a head coach so they just keep two ******* as their head coaches and make all the major decisions themselves.
Now, Andy Dalton. The guy has made some critical mistakes this year, mainly the play in the browns game where he ran 5 yards past the line of scrimmage then proceeded to throw the ball out of bounds. Biggest WTF moment ever, but other than that I can't see many faults to the way the guy has played. Going into the year, the Bengals claimed to be a run first team and wanted to limit Dalton to about 20 throws per game. The bengals are 2-3-1 this season when Dalton has 25 or more attempts. One of those wins being against the Jaguars, who the bengals wouldve lost to if Jeremy Hill didn't pull off a lucky 60 yard run. The bengals aren't doing a great job of being a rush first team, only having 253 rush attempts vs their opponents having 284 rush attempts. They also havn't really played many rush first teams. They've faced Joe Flacco twice, Matt Ryan, Tom Brady, Andrew Luck, Blake Bortles, Jake Locker, Brian Hoyer, and Cam Newton. Out of those quarterbacks, the only ones who really get limited attempts are Hoyer and Newton.
