Problem on 07 is the people who have run rsb leagues have put in little to no effort into getting more clans involved. Having ladders that disallow gear like Elys, Ballistas, Etc would probably attract a lot more clans.

Would be nice to have something for restricted. Even restricted in 2012 was hard to get into due to the dung gear and supplies. Gear was still a bit much for a more casual player but it was infinitely better for clans that have those players that don't play as often then unrestricted was. Not only in the "You need 6+ divines" sense but also getting practice to use them and not get smited. It did take a war or two to get used to those damn things, even if they were ridiculously good.

I think the fact of the matter is, most clans don't know what warring is or what to do with a clan war. It's unfortunate but there aren't many clans that have warred before. I think there is a need for some type of ladder/league for the clans that do war, and for warring to continue to grow. As far as activity, I can't guess how much there would actually be. Starting off simple is the best way to go, as you can always add as time goes on, and improve those aspects. I feel with the right people and a great amount of effort, even a near-dead ladder should be able to get on it's feet with the right amount of recruitment.

There's a difference between a small ladder and a near dead ladder though, mostly in terms of activity and participation. Feel like it'd be a lot easier to recruit new clans if the idea starts off well and you have a good base going.

I agree with starting off simple, the easier the new clan experience with it the better. Obviously you need the clans that do war to be down with the idea but being able to get someone new to try it out and have a good experience with it is necessary too for a ladder to work long-term.

does the old cj tourney still happen or has that died out?

Rsc clans realized cj style of fighting is dead. I think 2-3 clans still do it, but honestly, it's f2p warring with p2p restricted gear. It's also supposed to simulate the wilderness... yet with ppl using so many high $ +1 items in the wilderness it's not an accurate reflection of it at all.

As for RSB fights. Balista is changing the landscape substantially. Range dps/accuracy with it has gotten to the point where clans think a person sniping enemy mages is viable. With the disparity in skill level though (even at the top) it's difficult to gauge if the's different tactics work or if the other team/clan just got lucky/are better.

Honestly that still doesn't sound as bad as claws. I honestly just think I have more of a hatred of those items because I had a pretty old laptop at the time and loading screens sucked especially hard.

Hey Swag and Gxd, how you guys been?

Ko power is just really high atm. Ely is pretty mand, similar to divine back in the day. Even tho ely fucking sucks, that 25% of the time it doesn't proc is all the time

Without a maul (to be released soon hopefully) melee is pretty limited to just ags spec since dps and max hit is comparable to a ballista. With ppl praying range more frequently tho you'll probably see an increase in melee to counter.

Claws were pretty overrated in max cwa. They always proc'ed a pneck. In pvm they were op as fk. Max hit with them occurred very frequently, or so it seemed.
