So I'm trying to do the Varrock Elite achievement Red, Red Pies of Summer. I assure you I have read the requirements several times. I gather everything fresh, each time I attempt to bake a pie and gather all of the ingredients from within the Cooks' Guide save the watermelon and strawberry. I have baked three pies. I have used both of the ranges in the guild. I used the one on the first floor by the bank. I have used the one on the second floor. I have filled a pot with water in the sink. I have mixed the pastry dough in the Guild. I have done it to perfection. I am at my wits end. Why can I not get the area achievement? Do the Gods hate me so? I've been pretty good. I am the World Guardian and all. The Elves don't hate me...much. What? Ahhhhhhhhhh *-*

The wiki mentions that you cannot use the assist system to complete, so I am aware of this caveat. I also bought super cooking potions (3). No less than ten of them. I cannot cook the pie on the range unless I have 95 cooking. The last one I successfully made, I checked my skill level immediately afterwards, and it was a boosted niner fiver . I am weeping the tears of the defeated. I wail to the sky in torment... *-*

I believe there should be a game message showing you your progress after each step. If you're not receiving the messages at all, you might want to revisit your first step on collecting the ingredients. When you say "gather everything fresh" do you mean buying them from stores or making them yourself (especially the pot of flour)?

Did you make the dough using a jug or bucket of water instead of directly using a pot of flour with the sink?

Do verify if you were doing all the steps while in the Cook's Guild. Trying to add ingredients immediately after buying them from outside the guild may not count.

Alright, I can communicate with greater clarity. The only things I have on me when I enter the cooks' guild proper are a watermelon, a strawberry and several super cooking potions. I buy a pot of flour from the vendor on the first floor of the guild. I travel to the topiest floor for the jug and an apple. Then back down to the bottomiest floor to fill the jug with water and then a quick jaunt to the middliest floor to grab, with extreme prejudice, the pie plate. From there, step over to either of the ranges on the second floor and make the pastry dough. Slap the dough into the pie dish and Bob's your uncle. Take a sip of super cooking potion and use the strawberry on the doughie pie plate. Take a second sip of cooking potion, because luck, and use the watermelon on the partially made pie. Use the apple on the mostly made pie and cook evenly on the range for 1.2 seconds or so I'm guessing. EOF *-*
