Mahjarrat Memories bug?

I just started Mahjarrat Memories and have transcribed one memory so far. I collected more memories in my engrammeter but when I go back to have them transcribed I get the message "You already recovered this memory and had it transcribed" I cannot empty the engrammeter by taking the memory out and I cannot gather other memories somewhere else. I even destroyed the engrammeter and got a new one and it was still full. Is this a bug or did I do something wrong?

Which Mahjarrat memory did you collect first? You said you have collected more memories (I assume regular memories to charge it up again), but have you visited a new area to collect the Mahjarrat memory after charging the device up?

That should be fine. You can complete the miniquest by gathering using divination memories from the same source each time (meaning you can just use incandescent memories if you want to).

Does your engrammeter have an 'operate' option? Try visiting one of the locations where you would find a Mahjarrat memory. When you get there, operate the device and see what happens.
