There is a question that has been bothering me for a while.
Should i get a penance horn to train agility?
Filling a horn takes 5 hours if you are pro. Im not really good at it so say maybe 7 hours for me?
For 7 hours, it last me 1.2mil exp. It provides 2x the exp per course tho. If taking that im doing the ape troll course. Would it be wise for me to get penance horn to train?

P.S I have not have a master horn yet. So i will need to spend maybe 5-10 hours to get level 5 in at least a BA skill. So that might waste some time over there too.

btw, i have you added. :)

cool guide. But i disagree with you when you say that choosing xp over money when training a skill because maybye you don't want fishing xp and you might be saving up money to train a different skill or to get a cool weapon for pvp.

Hmm, let me try to work this out.

-1.2M XP is being earned through one horn.

-Half of this experience is "regular," half is "bonus"

-Therefore, filling one horn gets you 600k more xp than you would normally get.

-One horn takes 7 hours to get, plus 5 hours to achieve neccesary barbarian assault status/abilities/whatever they are (I know very little about the game, lol).

-Therefore, y=7x+5, where X is the number of horns you would like and Y is the time (in hours) it would take you.

Let's say for instance, you would like to fill 10 of these horns. This would provide you enough experience in agility for 99, and a little over. This would take you 75 hours to accomplish, and would provide 6,000,000 more experience than you would have obtained doing it "the regular way."

The question is: Is 75 hours worth 6,000,000 agility experience?

In 75 hours, at 60,000 max agil xp/hour, you are manging 4,500,000 XP the normal way. Far less than 6,000,000

Based on these precise numbers, it appears it would be worth it to use pennance horns. I don't know if these numbers are accurate, however ;) Let me know if I made a mistake somewhere- I did this rather hastily, lol.

Is it really that quick to get a horn? :o. Something seems off here, lol. Either it's my math, the time needed to obtain a horn, or the experience one provides. Then again, maybe it is right :o.

What you "want" really doesn't matter. I've never seen a case where someone's "wants" affected an XP/hour rate, or a cash ratio. If your goal is having fun, by all means, do what you'd like! I do it myself a lot of times; just because I wrote this guide doesn't mean I play this game as if from a textbook =p. However, if you want to be efficient... well, some things are good decisions, and some things aren't. What you "want" doesn't affect that one bit.
