You can feed your POF dragons any raw meat (or fish). Whether they drop green or dragon manure seems to be random.

Crops treated with ultra compost have a 50% less chance of dying than with supercompost, and increases the yield from herb, hops, and allotment patches by 3 over using supercompost.

The wiki doesn't say anything about feeding being required, so it probably isn't. It appears that the only thing to affect output is the 'constipated' and 'regular' traits.

Oh you're right about that. I'm so used to seeing a mixture of both in the pens, that I never thought it had to do with age.
